How to create a light course

A light course is a simple course you build inside your creator store. It is quick to make, and you can even create it from your phone.

You will need a creator store. See How to set up a creator store.

Classic course or light course?

Classic courses:

• Live under Assets, then Courses.
• Use the classic course builder, on desktop only.
• Give you full control over structure, design and layout.

Light courses:

• Live inside your creator store.
• Use a mobile-friendly screen, no drag and drop needed.
• Are quick to build and easy for parents to follow, with a clean layout.

Create a light course

1. Go to Sites, then Creator stores, and choose your store.
2. Click Add new product, then Sell a course. Light courses can only be made this way.
3. In the Thumbnail tab, set the header image, title, button text and subtitle. Click Next.
4. In the Course tab, choose Light course.
5. Pick an existing course or click Create a new light course.
6. Enter a title and description.
7. Under Add modules, click Add module, name it and click Save.
8. Click Add lecture, add a title and text, and upload a video or file if you like.
9. Optional: turn on Enable comments, and enter a delay in days for drip access.
10. Click Save.

Lectures with a delay show a Drip label on your course page. To edit a module or lecture, click its three dots.

Sell it in your creator store

1. Click Next to open the checkout page settings. Set the image, title, button text and description.
2. Under Collect info, choose the details to ask for. Click Add fields for more, use the trash icon to remove one, and the Required switch to make one mandatory. Email and First name are always required.
3. In the price plans section, click + to pick or create a price plan.
4. Click Set payment methods to choose your currency and payment providers.
5. In the Thank you page tab, add a title and subtitle.
6. In the Options tab, set your instructor profile, branding (logo and cover) and certificate. You can add custom code here too.
7. Click Publish.

Sell it in a sales funnel

You can also sell a light course on an order form, upsell or downsell.

1. On your order form step, choose Digital product and click +.
2. Name the product and click + under Resources.
3. Choose Courses, pick your light course and the access type.
4. Click + to pick or create a price plan.
5. Click Save.
