How to add a survey to your page

Pages

A survey helps you learn about the families visiting your page, such as their child's age or their biggest sleep struggle, and tag them by their answers.

1. Add the survey

In the page editor, drag the Survey element onto your page.

2. Write your questions

Click the settings icon, then Edit survey questions. In the popup you can:

  • Click a question to change it.
  • Click Add question to add one. There is no limit.
  • Click the trash icon to delete one.
  • Click the arrow icon to change the order.

For each question you can also:

  • Add a subtitle to explain it.
  • Click Add answer to add answer options.
  • Give each answer a tag, so you know who chose it. For example, tag the answer "Under 6 months" with Baby under 6 months. Leave the tag empty if you do not need one.
  • Tick Open-ended answer to let parents type their own reply. Open-ended answers cannot carry a tag.

Click Back when you are done.

Use these tags in automation rules. For example, a rule with the trigger Tag added and the action Send email can send parents of babies under 6 months your newborn guide.

3. Style the survey

Use the settings panel to change how your survey looks.

4. Set up the final step

The survey has two parts: the questions and the Final step, where the parent leaves their details. Click Final step to set up the fields and the button.

The Final step includes an Email field, and it is required. Parents answer the questions first, then enter their email. This is how their answers are saved to their contact record.

5. Read the answers

Go to CRM, then Contacts, and click the parent's email address. Scroll to Surveys and click a question to see the answer.

Surveys work on sales funnel and blog pages. For a course, build the survey on a funnel page and link to it from your lecture.
