What happens when my account gets restricted
Account
Every plan comes with limits, such as the number of contacts. Here is what happens if your account goes over, and how to avoid a restriction.
1. Why an account gets restricted
a. Going over your contact limit. SleepPRO™ contact limit per plan
b. Going over feature limits after a plan change, for example after cancelling or moving to a smaller plan.
To check your plan and its limits, click your profile picture, then Settings, then My plan.
2. Before the restriction: the warning period
When you go over a limit:
- You receive three warning emails, one a day.
- An alert shows on your dashboard.
During these days you can avoid the restriction by:
a. Upgrading your plan, for more contacts and features. If no plan fits, contact SleepPRO™ support.
b. Removing what is over the limit:
- Features: go to Settings, then My plan. Items over the limit show in red in the summary table.
- Contacts: clean your list. See How to manually clean your email list. No inactive contacts? Delete contacts by other criteria. See How to delete multiple contacts.
3. The restriction
With no action by day four, the restriction starts.
On a free plan:
- You receive a final email confirming the restriction, and a permanent alert shows on your dashboard.
- Opt-ins and payments stop working. No new contacts or students can be added in any way, and no new sales go through. Nobody can join your community.
- You cannot create newsletters. Scheduled newsletters do not send, and their scheduled date is removed so old emails do not go out later. You get a notification for each one.
- Campaigns pause, and test emails are disabled.
- New automation and workflow triggers do not start. Those already running continue.
- Students cannot open your courses, even lectures they already opened. Their enrollments, purchases and progress are kept.
- Drip emails pause. Afterwards, only the email for the last opened lecture is sent.
- Course reminder emails are not sent, and you cannot enroll students by hand.
On a paid plan:
Your subscription moves up to the next plan automatically, so nothing stops. To go back to your original plan, remove what is over the limit first, then contact support to request the downgrade.
4. Inactive accounts
If you do not log in or use your account for a long time:
- After 5 months: you receive a warning email, with reminders 7 days, 3 days and 24 hours before the next step.
- After 6 months: your Customer role is removed and your customer dashboard hidden. Your Student role stays, so you keep every course you bought.
- For 1 more month: your customer data is kept, and support can restore it. After this grace period, it is deleted for good.
