How to find your email headers
Email deliverability
An email header holds the technical details of an email. SleepPRO™ support may ask for it when looking into a deliverability problem.
1. What is an email header?
Every email has two parts: the header and the body (the message itself). The header holds technical details such as:
- The sender and recipient.
- The date and time it was sent.
- The servers it passed through.
- The sending IP address.
- Other routing details.
2. Why it helps
The header helps the support team find the cause of a delivery problem, see why an email was not delivered properly, and trace the path it took. The header needed is in the email as the recipient received it.
3. How to find it
Gmail:
- Open the email.
- Click the three dots next to the reply icon, then Show original.
- Click Copy to clipboard and paste the text into a note, ready to share.

- Click the three dots in the menu bar, then View, then View message source.
- Select and copy the text, and paste it into a note.
