Integrating your subdomain with SleepPRO™
Connect a domain
A subdomain sits in front of your main domain, such as courses.yoursleepbusiness.com. Here is how to connect one.
A subdomain can only be used for one site. If it shows a site somewhere else, it stops working there once added to SleepPRO™.
For a root domain, see How to connect your domain to SleepPRO™.
Step 1: add your subdomain in SleepPRO™
- Click your profile picture, then Settings, then Custom domains.
- Click Add a domain.
- Enter your subdomain, for example courses.yoursleepbusiness.com, and click Save.
- A popup shows two CNAME records to add at your domain provider.
Step 2: add the records at your domain provider
Guides exist for OVH and GoDaddy. See How to connect your OVH subdomain to SleepPRO™ and How to connect your GoDaddy subdomain to SleepPRO™. For other providers, their support team can show you your DNS settings.
- Open your DNS zone.
- Create two CNAME records with the values from SleepPRO™:
- First: Host (name) your subdomain, such as courses, and Value (target) the address ending in cloudfront.net.
- Second: Host (name) the long code starting with an underscore, followed by your subdomain, and Value (target) the address ending in acm-validations.aws.
- Check your records at dnschecker.org with the full name of each, including your domain. Everything should show green.
DNS changes take 24 to 48 hours to spread fully.
If your provider will not save a record because of a conflict, ask them what the existing record is for and whether it can be removed.
