How to configure the Facebook Conversions API on SleepPRO™

The Facebook Conversions API (CAPI) tracks actions on your pages from the server, instead of the visitor's browser like the Pixel does. It catches events the Pixel can miss. See How to add Facebook Pixel and set up events for the Pixel.

Before you start:

• You need admin access to the Meta Business Manager with your Pixel.
• Create a Meta Pixel if you have not yet.
• Read Facebook's best practices for the Conversions API.

Step 1: create your setup in Facebook

1. In Meta Business Manager, go to Events Manager.
2. Click the Data sources icon on the left.
3. Choose your Pixel and click Add events under the activity graph.
4. Choose Using the Conversions API, then Set up manually.
5. Choose the events to send, such as Lead and PageView. The dropdown suggests events for your type of business. Click Continue.
6. Choose the details to send for each event. Pick at least one customer detail. Click Continue.
7. Review your events and click Finish. Each step should have a green tick.

Step 2: connect it to SleepPRO™

1. In Events Manager, click Data sources and choose your Pixel.
2. Click Manage integrations, then Manage next to Conversions API, then Start sending events from server.
3. Click Get started, then Generate access token. Copy the token and keep it safe.
4. In SleepPRO™, click your profile picture, then Settings, then Custom domains. Click the three dots next to your domain and choose Settings.
5. Paste your Pixel ID (in Events Manager, under Data sources) and your access token. Click Save.

6. To test, go to Events Manager, Data sources, your Pixel, then Test events. Follow Facebook's steps and trigger each event on your site.
7. On every page you want to track, open the page settings in the editor and choose the matching event.
