How to automatically send an email when a lead subscribes

The moment a parent signs up for your free guide, a warm welcome email can land in their inbox. Here is how.

You will need a sales funnel with an opt-in page.

1. Create the rule

1. Select your opt-in page and click the Automation rules tab.
2. Click Add rule.
3. Click + under Trigger and choose Funnel step form subscribed.
4. Click + and choose Send email.

Tip: add the action Add a tag too, for example Free nap guide, to keep your list organized. See How to create a tag.

2. Write the email

1. Click + to create the email.
2. Write your welcome email. You can attach a file, such as a PDF guide, and add personalization variables, such as the parent's first name.
3. Click Save, then Save rule.

To edit the email later, click the pencil icon. Click Back to return to your list of rules. Click the three dots next to a rule to edit, disable or delete it.

3. Test it

Sign up on your own opt-in page to check the email arrives. If it does not, or you are not added as a contact, contact SleepPRO™ support.
