How to trigger automations when a course module or lecture is completed

You can start an automation when a student finishes a course, a module or a lecture. For example, email a parent a congratulations note with an offer for a follow-up call when they finish your newborn course.

Course completed

• Automation rule: go to Automations, then Rules, create a rule, choose the trigger Course completed and pick the course.
• Workflow: go to Automations, then Workflows, create a workflow, choose the trigger Course completed and pick the course.

Module completed

For an automation rule, choose the trigger Module completed:

• Pick only a course, and the rule runs when any module of this course is finished.
• Pick a course and a module, and the rule runs when this one module is finished.

For a workflow, choose the trigger Module completed and pick the course.

Lecture completed

For an automation rule, choose the trigger Lecture completed:

• Pick only a course, and the rule runs when any lecture in the course is finished.
• Pick a course and a module, and the rule runs when any lecture in this module is finished.
• Pick a course, module and lecture, and the rule runs only when this lecture is finished.

For a workflow, choose the trigger Lecture completed and pick the course.
