How to set up an A/B test for your pages
Funnels
An A/B test shows two versions of a page to visitors and tells you which one works better. For example, two versions of your free guide opt-in page with different headlines.
You will need a sales funnel.
Set up the two pages
- Create both pages in the same funnel. These are Variant A and Variant B.
- Choose a goal page, the page both variants lead to. For opt-in pages, a sales page works well.
- Set both variants to send visitors to the goal page. See How to configure links between funnel pages.
Start the test
- Click the A/B test tab.
- Click Choose a variant.
- Choose your Variant B page, and your goal page.
- Click Save, then Start A/B test.
Chose the wrong page? Cancel the test and start over.
A statistics table shows the results as they come in. Test pages have an icon to tell them apart.
Pages in an A/B test can be duplicated, but not deleted or moved to another funnel.
Previews skip the A/B test logic. Click View funnel step next to a variant to preview this exact page.
