How to create a deadline for a sales funnel
Funnels
A deadline gives each parent a set number of days to grab a special offer, counted from when they signed up.
You will need a sales funnel.
Deadlines only work on order forms and sales pages.
How deadlines work
Each parent gets their own window, from the moment they signed up. When it ends, they are sent to a page you choose, of any type.
1. Set up the deadline
- Open your funnel and click Deadline settings.
- Click Enable deadline feature.
- In Deadline page expires in, enter the number of days. With 6 days, the page closes 6 days after the parent signs up.
- Optional: tick Time when deadline page should expire and enter a time. This uses your account's time zone. With 08:00 and 6 days, the page closes at 08:00 on day six.
- In Funnel step to redirect to once the deadline has expired, choose where to send parents.
- Choose the pages the deadline applies to.
- Save your deadline settings.
2. Match a countdown timer
On a countdown timer in the page editor, choose Same as the deadline funnel settings. The two stay in sync. This works on order forms and sales pages.
The deadline only works when SleepPRO™ knows the parent's email. They need to have signed up on a form which leads, directly or through other pages, to the page with the deadline.
Three examples
- A funnel with a deadline and an opt-in page: the pages close when each parent's deadline passes.
- A funnel without a deadline, whose opt-in page leads to a page with a deadline: the pages close when the deadline passes.
- A funnel with a deadline and no opt-in form: the pages stay open, because there is no email to track.
