How to compress a video with Handbrake
Files
Smaller video files load faster for parents watching on their phone. Handbrake is free software which shrinks your videos.
You will need Handbrake (free to download) and your video.
- Open Handbrake and click File, then Open a single video file. You can also drag your video in.
- Click Browse to choose where to save the new file.
- Tick Web optimized.
- To keep the same dimensions, open the Dimensions tab and set Anamorphic to None.
- Click Start Encode.
Your compressed video is saved where you chose. To add it to your page, see How to add a video to a page.
